All to the glory of God, here’s an Oil Painting Tribute to Louis Armstrong “When the Saints Go Marching In,” often referred to as simply “The Saints,” originated as a Christian hymn, it is often played by jazz bands. This song was famously recorded on May 13, 1938, by Louis Armstrong and his orchestra.
My grandfather, John B. Cimins requested it be played at his funeral and it took be nearly twenty years to realize the spiritual lesson he was attempting to teach us. All those truly in Christ Jesus are Saints, it’s all over the Bible and Grandpa was just trying to teach us one last lesson that even God rejoices at the death of His Saints.
