Son of God Movie Inspired Musical Composition by Brian Cimins

In 2013, a multi-part mini-series called “The Bible” was released famously for free on television, then in 2014, FOX released all of the series as one movie called “Son of God” (see sample video below).

While working, training and mentoring with some of the world’s best musicians, they repeatedly told me to pick a scene in a movie you love and write a musical score for it. Here’s my first shot at a musical composition for a major motion picture.

Thank you two amazing artists, So-Far-I and Kaleb Mitchell for the motivation to step into the light. Single to be released soon.

Listen, son: I am saying this as you lie asleep, one little paw crumpled under your cheek and the blond curls stickily wet on your damp forehead. I have stolen into your room alone. Just a few minutes ago, as I sat reading my paper in the library, a stifling wave of remorse swept over me. Guiltily I came to your bedside.
There are the things I was thinking, son: I had been cross to you. I scolded you as you were dressing for school because you gave your face merely a dab with a towel. I took you to task for not cleaning your shoes. I called out angrily when you threw some of your things on the floor.
At breakfast I found fault, too. You spilled things. You gulped down your food. You put your elbows on the table. You spread butter too thick on your bread. And as you started off to play and I made for my train, you turned and waved a hand and called, “Goodbye, Daddy!” and I frowned, and said in reply, “Hold your shoulders back!”
Then it began all over again in the late afternoon. As I came up the road I spied you, down on your knees, playing marbles. There were holes in your stockings. I humiliated you before your boyfriends by marching you ahead of me to the house. Stockings were expensive-and if you had to buy them you would be more careful! Imagine that, son, from a father!
youtube-father-forgetsDo you remember, later, when I was reading in the library, how you came in timidly, with a sort of hurt look in your eyes? When I glanced up over my paper, impatient at the interruption, you hesitated at the door. “What is it you want?” I snapped.
You said nothing, but ran across in one tempestuous plunge, and threw your arms around my neck and kissed me, and your small arms tightened with an affection that God had set blooming in your heart and which even neglect could not wither. And then you were gone, pattering up the stairs.
Well, son, it was shortly afterwards that my paper slipped from my hands and a terrible sickening fear came over me. What has habit been doing to me? The habit of finding fault, of reprimanding-this was my reward to you for being a boy. It was not that I did not love you; it was that I expected too much of youth. I was measuring you by the yardstick of my own years.
And there was so much that was good and fine and true in your character. The little heart of you was as big as the dawn itself over the wide hills. This was shown by your spontaneous impulse to rush in and kiss me good night. Nothing else matters tonight, son. I have come to your bedside in the darkness, and I have knelt there, ashamed!
It is feeble atonement; I know you would not understand these things if I told them to you during your waking hours. But tomorrow I will be a real daddy! I will chum with you, and suffer when you suffer, and laugh when you laugh. I will bite my tongue when impatient words come. I will keep saying as if it were a ritual: “He is nothing but a boy-a little boy!”
I am afraid I have visualized you as a man. Yet as I see you now, son, crumpled and weary in your cot, I see that you are still a baby. Yesterday you were in your mother’s arms, your head on her shoulder. I have asked too much, too much, yet given too little of myself. Promise me, as I teach you to have the manners of a man, that you will remind me how to have the loving spirit of a child.

MORE WAS NEVER ENOUGH Written by Brian Cimins (http://YourStrategyCoach.com)

I’m 86 years old and sadly I’m basically sitting on my death bed…
I have millions of dollars in the bank –
but I can’t BUY Health to Save My Life now.
I had a family and millions of fans around the world – but I’m all alone now…

Not even my children or long estranged wife or brother stand around my deathbed

I LIVED MY LIFE WRONG AND I DON’T WANT THIS TO HAPPEN TO YOU.
IF YOU LISTEN AND TAKE EVASIVE ACTION,
I CAN HELP YOU CHANGE YOUR FUTURE…

The following few moments may very well change your life…
and I wish someone had told me this when I was YOUR age….

Money is NOT EVIL by itself, its just paper with perceived value to obtain other things we value in other ways.

IF NOT MONEY – WHAT IS EVIL YOU MAY ASK?
Evil is the unquenchable, obsessive and moral bending desire for MORE.
EVIL is the bottomless, soulless and obsessive-compulsive pursuit of some pot of gold at the end of some rainbow which doesn’t exist

EVIL is having a PRICE tag for your HEART and SOUL in exchange for Financial Success at ANY cost.

EVIL is trying to BUY happiness, again and again, until all of those fake, short lived mirages of emotions are gone.

IMAGINE HAVING IT ALL — ONLY TO LOSE IT ALL…
YOU ARE NOW BROKE – all the money is gone, what do you have?
The only solution to your madness and happiness was acquiring MORE
Now you have NO MORE MEANS TO ACQUIRE FAKE HAPPINESS…

NO MORE MEANS TO ACQUIRE MORE
SO…WHO ARE YOU NOW?
Where are all the people NOW who you thought were your friends while the money was flowing in?
You might have lost your family, friends and mostly everyone in the world thinks you are a self centered, egotistical asshole.
Why? Because of YOUR endless pursuit for MORE clouded your mind and diverted you from your TRUE PURPOSE IN LIFE!

DOES THIS HIT AN EMOTIONAL CHORD IN YOU?

DID IT DEPRESS OR SADDEN YOU?

…I ALMOST SAID GOOD, but I say this ONLY because I want YOU TO CHANGE!!

I’m not saying you can’t be financially successful;
I’m SAYING HAVE A GREATER PURPOSE IN LIFE well beyond the Pursuit of Financial Success.

Your Soul is SCREAMING for you to answer your TRUE calling

You can CHANGE today if you redefine what SUCCESS is to you.
You can transform your damaged relationships and build new ones.
You can forgive yourself and others who’ve hurt you
you can become a leader by mentoring with others who you aspire to be like.
You can re-balance your priorities in life.
You can heal your marriage and recreate a stronger LOVE than you ever thought possible.

You can become the best parent possible at ANY age – even 86, but don’t WAIT until then…

You will always be able to make more money, BUT you CANNOT make more time.

One day, just like me, you will DIE too…
What do YOU want to be remembered for?
What can YOU do for others to make the world a better place?
What is YOUR true purpose on this Earth?

We are ALL dying – but only a small select few are truly LIVING.

You can step out of the Shadows into the LIGHT.
You were meant for GREATNESS
You were meant for MORE than just what you do for a living.
You are an eternal being meant to INSPIRE AND HELP THE WORLD!

——LET’S GET IT RIGHT ONCE AND FOR ALL IN THIS LIFETIME…

TODAY, YOU STEP INTO THE WORLD WHERE TRUE LOVE EXISTS
AND YOU FINALLY REALIZE THAT LOVE IN FACT, IS
“THE MORE” YOU’VE WANTED YOUR WHOLE LIFE

JUST LOVE MORE AND MORE,
EVERY DAY IN EVERY WAY
AND
NEVER GIVE UP,
regardless of how challenging your destiny and life will be…

The World really needs you now more than ever…
Together, with Love, Compassion and faith in HUMANITY, WE WILL DEFEAT EVIL, ONCE AND FOR ALL!

VIDEO – Mental Health Awareness Month – Message of Hope for Loved Ones Challenged with Stress, Anxiety and Depression from Life Coach Brian Cimins

In the book, Pyschocybernetics by Maxwell Maltz, he was originally a Plastic Surgeon and he gave up his entire practice for this concept, realizing that he would fix someone’s scar on the outside, but really the true scar is inside. Dr. Maltz would fix the person beautifully on the outside, but they would still say, “I still see it”. In reality, it’s an emotional scar and could never be healed from the outside.  Emotional scars need to be healed from the inside out.

If you are holding onto something that continually causes you pain and suffering, it can actually manifest disease, bad feelings and even depression. If you continually go down the path of an anxiety, stress-ridden and mentally tortuous life, that is potentially in your future. It’s not acceptable. If you don’t face your real issues and realize that your life is worth so much more than you even know – the World won’t be better without you. I want the world to be better WITH you.

You control your emotions – repeat that one hundred times. “I control my emotions, the outlook of the world is inside of me.” No one else or outside challenge can take you away from your center of peace and happiness. Our lives are not solely what we succeeded in professionally, our lives are not solely based on our financial success…it’s truly what positive impact we made on the world.

Never Give up, you never know what may be just around the corner. Keep positive and learn to master your emotions, regardless of what obstacles may come in life. The World needs YOU now more than ever.

20130414-140147.jpg

Sometimes…it happens by accident, again and again and again – until it finally sets in and sticks for life. On April 14, I went to Walmart to buy my 10-year nephew Jonathan’s (son of Paul Cimins – Founder of http://AutismRadio.org) for his birthday present and stopped at Chilis. I sat down next to an older couple around my parents age and started talking with them.

As a work-from-home, stay-at-home father, i forgot how important Adult Human interaction is. Nearly automatically, I had a sense that I was meant to sit down and meet these people. I started digging deeper faster, sharing some personal stories to ultimately pull out what my purpose on this planet was…to help Others, continuing my life’s work to help heal another family inside my short time as our life paths crossed. Helping others feels better than anything I’ve ever accomplished for personal reasons or financial benefit. It’s real and it’s what I was meant to do.

The couple married for 33 years shared the torment of their depressed 23-year-old daughter who has cerebral palsy and on various psychiatric medication. Inside of 20 Minutes, they left feeling empowered with tools to help uplift their suffering daughter, prepare for her medication withdrawal better and give their recent English Degree College student who wants to teach, a creative outlet.

My purpose on this earth is to relieve suffering of others through heartfelt emotionlization. I dive DEEP into their heart and soul, I sense the pain and suffering of others and know I can help. It’s the most amazing feeling on the planet. I know now it’s real, I know it’s my Purpose on planet Earth…and some how, some way…I’ll do it until the day I die.

With your happiness, success and true purpose on the horizon or a phone call away,
