Book Summary of “LIFE’S ALTERNATIVES”: What is your life philosophy? Does it offer you real fulfillment? What happens when we die? In his book, Life’s Alternatives, Mike Walsh poses these questions in his investigation of the reigning philosophical worldviews on topics ranging from politics to pop culture. As he examines what the various approaches have to offer, Mike lends his insight into what will inevitably grant people the answers they seek. The author writes, “I was living life, chasing success, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, aka The American Dream. A man named Solomon had done the same thing thousands of years ago. He was a king who had settled an argument between two women in a dispute over a baby. In the Holy Bible, in a Book known as Ecclesiastes, I learned Solomon was the wisest man who had ever lived. Reading that book made me realize that we both came to many of the same conclusions by age thirty. In addition to being wise, Simon was also unimaginably wealthy. He had the resources to acquire anything he wanted to make himself happy and he did. After trying all there was he used a few magnificent statements to describe the results: ‘chasing after the wind’, and ‘nothing new under the sun’, and the most devastating of all ‘futility or meaninglessness’. Very few will ever have the chance to try all the things that Solomon was able to try. Yet, at the age of thirty, I had tried enough to suspect that the last guarantee in the Bill of Rights, allows us pursue it, there’s no assurance that we’ll ever get it. Out of all this, I arrived at a way of thinking that I call “default reasoning.” When trying to make a decision about something, I ask myself: What’s the alternative? This type of reasoning has kept me from making ill-advised choices. Hence the title of this book, ‘Life’s Alternatives’. It is my hope that by hearing or reading the counsel of this volume that you may avoid some of the pitfalls of life and perhaps find an answer to the question “What’s it all about, Alfie?”

LYRICS to Shortened Version of PERFECT GRACE:
I found a Savior, stronger than darkness
He takes my fears, and I never fear I’m alone
I found a saviour, to carry more than just my secrets
To carry love, and every burden in my soul

I was so lost when I found your love
Standing against all odds
I know I’ll make it through somehow
What was once lost is redeeemed
A heart once in chains now free
And I”m not afraid to testify

Jesus I,
I was dancing in the dark
When I saw your open arms
Barefoot on the cross
And now I hear you in every song
When my life was still a mess
You saw something beautiful
I don’t deserve it, but your grace is perfect tonight

Oh, I
When I’m dancing in the dark
I will raise my weary arms
And thank you for the cross
And a grace that’s enough for anyone
Cos you found me in a mess
And saw something beautiful
I don’t deserve it but your Grace is perfect
I don’t feel worth it, but your Grace is perfect tonight

‘NEW BOOK SERIES’, Meditate with Me: The Quest to Christ, A Christian Meditation and Outreach Ministry by Brian Cimins with Pastor Andrew Rappaport – Now Available on Amazon Kindle

Meditate_with_me_3D_C(2)Meditate with Me: The Quest to Christ is a Christian Meditation and Outreach Ministry written by Brian Cimins with Sermons by Pastor Andrew Rappaport and Pastor Austin Hetsler now available on #Amazon on Kindle here and should be released in print and audiobook worldwide within the next few weeks.

Meditate With Me is a vibrantly illustrated parable quest book series and Christian outreach campaign to reach the lost sheep from various remote regions, villages and far off lands, who are possibly studying false religions, witchcraft, sorcery and other New Age disinformation around the world. 1st Peter 5:8 reads, “Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.” Pastor Andrew Rappaport of Striving For Eternity Ministries said it best, “Evil is the absence of Good and Good is defined by the nature of God. This book series will teach children the attributes of God, basic apologetics, and ultimately how to put our full faith in Jesus, how to pray and meditate, day and night, how to put on the full armor of God and other Bible based life skill lessons to support their lifelong faith building efforts to face the enemy with Christ alone to glorify God through our lives.

In Matthew 28:19, Jesus commands us to reach all people in all nations with the gospel of Jesus Christ. He is the way, the truth and the life, the only way to the Father, the only way to Heaven and in many countries Christians are being persecuted and blocked from sharing the gospel.

The Quest for Christ is the first edition of the series and joins two Buddhist raised siblings, Yui and Mei escaping from Chinese invaded Tibet. They face death defying winter storms in the Mountains of India in a tribulation filled journey to find God, meet a wonderful missionary, conquer their fears and learn about salvation through Jesus Christ. They learn we are saved by His grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone, not because of our works. The Series also teaches plus how to ask God for forgiveness, how to repent or turn away from sin, how to pray in Jesus’ name as well as how to accurately practice Bible-based Christian meditation, day and night.

final_meditate_with_mei_pg12-13Mei and Yui are determined to learn everything they can from the Holy Bible, so they can learn the truth and accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Witness the transition of how these children learn to overcome a “dragon” of tribulation in life. Observe how their daily meditation evolves from one of self-focused or mind quieting silence to one filled with Jesus in their hearts and the Word of God as their guide and focus. Read this story as a family today or gift this book to a church, donate to a local library, children’s ministry or a gift to any child or family friend with children to help spread the Gospel in a friendly outreach ministry of your own at Kids Can Meditate dot com.

FACT CHECKER: Non-Biblical Preacher Misquote from St. Francis of Assisi “Preach the Gospel at all times. Use words words if necessary.” – Article Excerpts by Glenn T. Stanton with Commentary by Brian Cimins

Some parts quoted from “FactChecker” by Glenn T. Stanton of http://TheGospelCoalition.org article along with http://YourStrategyCoach.com by Brian Cimins

Christians use lots of quotes. Pastors use them in their sermons constantly. Writers illustrate their points with them. Nothing wrong with that. They are quite helpful and encouraging in making a point. Except when the quote has no basis in fact. We as evangelicals who claim we are committed to truth are certainly good at spreading falsehood, even if unintentionally. We can do better. One very clever and popular quote we often knock around among ourselves is . . .

10_4_francis4“Preach the Gospel at all times. Use words if necessary.”

– St. Francis of Assisi

(Note: He never actually said this)

It is always attributed to St. Francis of Assisi, founder of the Franciscan Order and is intended to say that proclaiming the Gospel by example is more virtuous than actually proclaiming with voice. It is a quote that has often annoyed me because it seems to create a useless contrast between speech and action. Besides, the spirit behind it can be a little arrogant, hinting that those who “practice the Gospel” are more faithful to the faith than those who preach it. But here’s the fact: Our good Francis never said such a thing. None of his disciples, early or later biographers have these words coming from his mouth. It doesn’t show up in any of his writings. Not even close really. The closest comes from his Rule of 1221, Chapter XII (12) on how the Franciscans should practice their preaching which states, No brother should preach contrary to the form and regulations of the Holy Church nor unless he has been permitted by his minister…All the Friars …should preach by their deeds.”

Essentially, it’s saying, “make sure your deeds match your words”. While there’s a nice and good sentiment in the statement—be sure you live out the grace and truth of the Gospel—the notion as it is typically presented is neither practical, nor faithful to the Gospel of Christ. It does not even align with St. Francis’ own practice. His first biographer, Thomas of Celeno, writing just three years after Francis’ death, quotes him instructing his co-workers in the Gospel thusly, “The preacher must first draw from secret prayers what he will later pour out in holy sermons; he must first grow hot within before he speaks words that are in themselves cold.”

Mark Galli, senior editor at Christianity Today, wrote a book on Francis as well as a clarifying brief article on the myth of this quote. He explains that Francis was quite a preacher, actually more along the lines of Jonathan Edwards than most of those who misquote him would like to think. Galli quotes Thomas’ biography, His words were neither hollow nor ridiculous, but filled with the power of the Holy Spirit, penetrating the marrow of the heart, so that listeners were turned to great amazement.”

Our man clearly spent a great deal of time using his words when he preached, “sometimes preaching in up to five villages a day, often outdoors. In the country, Francis often spoke from a bale of straw or a granary doorway. In town, he would climb on a box or up steps in a public building. He preached to . . . any who gathered to hear the strange but fiery little preacher from Assisi.” He was sometimes so animated and passionate in his delivery that “his feet moved as if he were dancing.”

b48d64ceea677934e3d736baed320cef--gospel-christian-quotesPastor, Theologian, and Author Andrew Rappaport of StrivingForEternity.org added, “In his later life, Francis detached from society becoming hermit-like totally secluded from ALL creatures, not preaching the gospel with words or actions, far apart from from the lost, the suffering, the depressed, oppressed, the sick and people like us, the sinners.  This is in total in opposition of what Jesus commanded us into do Matthew Chapter 28, Verses 16-20.”

Writer, Duane Liftin adds, “It’s simply impossible to preach the Gospel without words. The Gospel is inherently verbal, and preaching the Gospel is inherently verbal behavior.” And the “deed” proclamation of the Gospel is not biblical either.

Paul asks the Church at Rome (Romans 10:14), “How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher?” So next time you hear one of your brothers or sisters in Christ use this quote to encourage or challenge you in your labors for our faith, gently guide them from the land of misinformation and make believe into Biblical truth with LOVING KINDNESS standing on the Word of God always righteously and confidently.
Finally, beware of false teachers or wolves in sheep’s clothing who quote words of fallen men more than the incorruptible Word of God. We must remember His word never changes, His Word is enough, His grace is sufficient and our deeds will never outweigh unrepented sin or earn our way into heaven. THANK GOD, we are SAVED BY GRACE ALONE through FAITH ALONE in CHRIST JESUS.

LIVE Sound Healing Buddhist Monks and Nuns Singing and Chanting – Quest to Reach the ‘Peacemakers’ on Earth with the Gospel of Jesus Christ

screen-shot-2016-12-11-at-11-36-49-amMatthew Chapter 5, Verse 9 begins, “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.” The recent massive earthquakes reminded me of a story from April 2015, one of the most devasting earthquakes in my lifetime in Nepal.

Traveling around the world and meeting people of different religions and studies, the most naturally peaceful people I’ve ever met were the Buddhist Monks. Judgement is quick and easy and many “Christians” who I’ve run across were very judgemental of my studies, practices and overall interest in these amazing humans who’ve dedicated their lives to service.  They would have loved Jesus, they just didn’t know Him, they weren’t taught about Him…so are they LOST?  They would only stay “lost” if we fail to become the shepherds we are commanded to become and answer Jesus Christ’s final wishe to make disciples of all nations in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Now you understand why I do this…we were commanded to by Jesus himself.  Hanging around Christians at a church that becomes an Elks Club wasn’t what Jesus told us, he told us to go out and spread His message and gospel to the world.

Wherever non-believers live, we are to spread the Gospel. God has led me all over the world, even to the “far ends of the earth”, from small remote Caribbean islands, the Amazon jungle and all over South America, all over the United States, Mexico, Canada, Europe and Scandanavia.  It’s been a QUEST…to find the peacemakers of the world who don’t know Jesus Christ.

Here’s one of the special outreach ministry stories about the beautiful peacemakers of Nepal, who are my fellow brothers and sisters in Jesus Christ and the ones who just don’t know Him yet.

Do YOU Want to help serve the world and serve others? Ask Jesus…”How can I reach them Father? For me, it was forgive others, surrender my life, sell everything and “FOLLOW ME” was the response, here’s my testimony – http://BibleBasedMeditation.com

On April 25th 2015 a 7.8 magnitude earthquake devastated Nepal. Many of the Kathmandu Valley’s historic monuments, buildings and temples were either completely destroyed or damaged and most tragically, it killed 9,000 people and injured 22,000.

As a fellow human, Christian or not, we were compelled to support how we could, beyond prayer and deep thought and meditation on how to help reach them with Jesus. ONE special temple jumped on eBay and started selling handmade singing bowls, artifacts and scrolls to raise funds. We purchased several things from them and then re-sold some of the items to donate more back. They were beyond appreciative and asked me why I did what I did.

This was my first chance to tell someone from another side of the world about Jesus Christ and why we do what we do. John 13:34-35 quotes Jesus saying, “A new commandment I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so also you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you love one another.” People, especially self proclaimed atheists and non-believers used to always tell me, “it’s not fair that the kid from the jungle doesn’t know Jesus, that he goes to hell” and I would reply, “it’s OUR job to go out and spread His Gospel, if they don’t know, it’s OUR fault, we were commanded to. Those were His last words…could YOU imagine if you knew the very second you were leaving this earth. Wouldn’t you be able to share your greatest wisdom, your most important message of all, right before you left? Of course you would…so did Jesus. After rising from the dead, nearly 40 days later, Jesus was just about to ascend into heaven as Matthew 28:19 reads, Jesus commanded us one last time “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, even until the end of the world.”

A NEW Outreach Ministry Fundraiser Album from “Meditation Orchestra” will be available on iTunes, Google Play, Amazon worldwide, which will continue to support many of the amazing temples throughout Nepal and allow our ministry to expand even further.  We will be working on audio translations of the bible in future projects to assist with breaking through language barriers with loving kindness and respect for their beautiful culture.

Do YOU Want to help serve the world and serve others? Ask Jesus…”How can I reach them Father? For me, it was forgive others, surrender my life, surrender my business, heal your marriage, become a better dad, sell everything and “FOLLOW ME”…here’s my testimony – http://BibleBasedMeditation.com

BACK TO NEPAL…After the Temples were fixed, restored and back up and running, they assembled a special event and sang this, recorded it and sent us this prayer song as a thank you to share with the world. More than 300 monks and nuns from various different temples assembled together and sang this, the tone they create as a whole is something that needs to be experienced. Here’s our live audio from the center of 300. Mark 9:40 reads, “For whoever is not against us is for us.” The more accurate translations replace “unaparted” for “for us”. I never knew what it meant before I looked it up. “Seek and Ye Shall Find”

God Bless the peacemakers, wherever they reside and thank you for the missionaries and Christian outreach teams who minister in the lives of millions of people around the world, including Nepal.
