Freedom of Speech Classic – Dee Snider’s PMRC Senate Hearing Speech (Full)

Dee Snider of Twisted Sister lays it down on Tipper Gore and Freedom of Speech in the music world. They fought against forces we couldn’t possibly imagine to make sure their music could be heard. They never gave up, they refused to listen to others and paved the way to change the future of slanderous and libelous news reporting. Twisted Sister just earned Hall of Fame honors in my world. Good for you Dee, thank you for helping change the perception of rock and roll and for representing your faith proudly.

Tell me not to Build
WELL, ALL I GOT TO SAY TO YOU WHEN YOU TELL ME NOT TO Build,
I SAY, “NO!”
NO! NO, NO, NO, NO, NO!
I got my pick axe and I’m looking for some diamonds
I’ll craft a stick and then I’ll make a sword

I WANT TO MINE! (CRAFT)
I WANNA MINE! (CRAFT)

In Survival Mode
I gotta build a house cause the Mob trying to hunt me down
Down! Down, Down, Down, Down, Down

The Sun’s setting fast,
There’s Creepers comin’ out and they gonna to try blow me up
UP! Up, Up, Up, Up, Up

WHEN IT’S NIGHT TIME, SKELETONS TRYING TO SHOOT THROUGH ME
I die, respawn, and then I start again…

Music Video – I Wanna Minecraft – Song Parody of I Wanna Rock by Twisted Sister and Dee Snider from Stay Hungry Music Album

Song written as a family bonding project led by 6-Year-Old, Logan John Cimins and 4-Year-Old, Kaylee Paige Cimins due to their absolute LOVE for Minecraft with help from Lucia Lee Cimins and Brian John Cimins.

CIMING FAMILY PROJECT FOR JANUARY 2014:
Logan loves playing Minecraft and even wanted to join his school’s Minecraft club. At 6-years-old, his building ability inside the “Creative Mode” was astonishing. I finally learned all about the game and realized quickly why he was absolutely afraid of “Survival Mode” due to Zombies, Skeletons and “Creepers” who attack in the night. Most parents would keep their kids in Creative mode and most probably should, but Logan likes to challenge himself and face his fears. I respect that. We wanted to see him face and defeat a fear of an intangible, a 2D video game, and basically the song was born. In less than one month, as a family project, we wrote “I Wanna Minecraft”, a viral video sensation parody of “I Wanna Rock” by Twisted Sister led by Dee Snider back in the 1908s. Logan defeated his fear of Survival Mode and we produced a family bonding project by creating something from nothing in the first month of the year. What will your family do next month? Inspire me, we want to try new and fun family fun activities and I hope to inspire you to expand your mind and world of possibilities with what you can create. We are creationists and our only limitations are set within our own minds. We are limitless, we can accomplish anything we love and set our mind to and hearts on. Please go be creationists, the world is awaiting your mind’s greatness!

The Song will be released on iTunes shortly and 10% of revenues will be donated to Autism at: http://AutismDonation.org

Wikipedia wrote: “I Wanna Rock” is a song from the album Stay Hungry (1984) by Twisted Sister. In 2009 it was named the 17th VH1 Greatest Hard Rock Songs by VH1.

Music video: Like the earlier “We’re Not Gonna Take It”, the video features actor Mark Metcalf, best known as the sadistic Neidermeyer from the movie Animal House and a young Jack Black. Here, he plays a ferocious teacher who harasses a student for drawing the Twisted Sister logo on a book, shrieking: “What kind of a man desecrates a defenseless textbook?! I’ve got a good mind to slap your fat face!!” (echoing his line from Animal House: “What kind of man hits a defenseless animal [a misbehaving horse]? I’ve got a good mind to smash your fat face in.”). After his attempts to stop his rock-loving students fail, he crawls into the principal’s office – only to be confronted by the principal, played by Stephen Furst (Flounder from Animal House). Furst even gets to reprise one of his big lines from the movie: “Oh boy, is this great!” as he squirts water at the mean teacher.

I WANNA MINECRAFT – Sneak Preview of Dee Snider of Twisted Sister in Minecraft Music Video Song Parody

My 6-year-old son, Logan John Cimins and my 4-year-old daughter, Kaylee Paige Cimins and wife, Lucia Lee Cimins wrote a song parody called “I Wanna Mine (Craft)” and it’s due out soon on iTunes including a full music video on YouTube. We wanted to celebrate how amazingly engaged our children were with Minecraft and coupled with an affinity for the 80’s Classic Rock Band, Twisted Sister and the famous song, “I Wanna Rock”, which both kids love too. Together, we crafted a song which is destined to be played thousands, if not millions of times throughout the Minecraft loving world.

I’ll post the lyrics in the next few weeks and music video a few weeks after coupled with a full iTunes release. Enjoy and keep climbing to the top of the world and remember to always help others!
